Dharamshala, June 25: Raghubir Singh Bali, Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation and a cabinet minister, said that the present Himachal Pradesh government is making every possible effort to save the youth of the state from the bad habit of drugs, But the mission of preventing drug addiction will remain incomplete without public participation.The program for drug prevention was organized by Gunjan Voluntary Organization.

Raghubir Singh Bali, Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, who arrived as the chief guest in the district level program organized on drug prevention in the college auditorium of Dharamshala on Tuesday, said that youth is the most progressive and dynamic age group of the society. But this age is also sensitive to drugs. Saving the youth from the web of drugs has become the need of the hour.

Bali said that parents, teachers and youth can play an effective role in the prevention of drug abuse in youth.

In the district level program organized on drug prevention, the slogan “Nashe ko Na, Zindagi ko Haan” was given.

Along with this, Dharamshala Municipal Corporation Commissioner Zafar Iqbal, while addressing the district level program organized on drug prevention, said that intervention is necessary from childhood to save the youth from drugs.

 

Zafar Iqbal said that instead of speeches, empowerment and skill development of adolescents is important.

SP Nurpur Ashok Ratna, while addressing the district level program organized on drug prevention, said that today the need is to save the youth from the web of drugs and take them towards other sports competitions.

The district level program organized on drug prevention was also addressed by Director Gunjan Voluntary Organization’s officer Sandeep Parmar, Vijay Kumar.

In the district level program, various organizations and individuals who did effective work in the drug prevention campaign were honored.For the best contribution in the drug prevention campaign, Rajendra Mohan from Mandi Literacy and Public Development Committee and Satyawan Pundir from Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti were honored by giving awards.

For individual notable services under the drug prevention campaign, Degree College Dehri’s Principal Dr. Sachin Kumar, Dr. Shabab Ahmed from Central University and Jyoti Sharma Bhardwaj were honored.

The district level program organized on drug prevention was successfully conducted by Pankaj Pandit and Nikhil Sharma.

In the district level program organized on drug prevention, DC Hemraj Bairwa, SP Shalini Agnihotri, SP Ashok Ratna, Dharamshala Municipal Corporation Commissioner Zafar Iqbal, District Health Officer Dr. RK Sood, playback singer Kumar Sahil and many other dignitaries registered their dignified presence.
