Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Una, April 11: A workers conference was organized by the Block Congress Committee on Thursday in Haroli, the home assembly constituency of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri. In the Block Congress Committee meeting being held for the first time after the death of Deputy Chief Minister’s wife Dr. Simmi Agnihotri, She was specially remembered and Congress workers also paid tribute to her by keeping 2 minutes silence. While Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri arrived as the chief guest in this meeting, Congress’ probable candidate and former MLA Satpal Raizada was also specially present. The meeting was presided over by Block Congress Committee President Vinod Kumar Bittu.

On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister once again appeared in his old form and made several sharp attacks on the BJP. He said that under the circumstances in which this election is being held in Himachal Pradesh, it is a table turn election and the entire atmosphere has come in favor of Congress. He said that BJP should apologize to the people of Himachal Pradesh for trying to topple the elected government. The Deputy Chief Minister also targeted three independent MLAs of the state and asked them to tell the public why they are leaving their posts and assure the public that they will not contest the elections again. He said that leaving the legislature and contesting for MLA election is a betrayal of the people of the state and the public is not going to forgive such leaders.

The Deputy Chief Minister also hit back at the Bharatiya Janata Party terming the election manifesto of the Congress as the manifesto of the Muslim League and accusing it of communalism. He said that today is the happy occasion of Eid and in these circumstances one should not comment against any particular community. He said that Congress Party is a secular party and believes in taking every section along.
He said that BJP is badly trapped in its own maze, every kind of intelligence of BJP is completely failing and now an attempt is being made to save its political ground on communal basis by making such allegations. He said that for the first time, BJP’s Mission Lotus has failed and in Himachal Pradesh, BJP’s Mission Lotus has fallen flat.
