Dharamshala, July 15: The Shaktipeeths of Himachal Pradesh attract lakhs of devotees every year. The Himachal Pradesh government has taken an important initiative to e-connect the major temples of Himachal Pradesh, which will ensure that devotees can now have darshan from their homes. This information was given by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri after offering prayers at the Jwalamukhi temple on Sunday. During this, his daughter Dr. Aastha Agnihotri was also present.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that the Himachal Pradesh government has launched a pilot scheme to provide online booking facility for havan, bhandaara and jagran ceremonies in temples and Shaktipeeths of Himachal Pradesh. Through this digital platform, devotees can also connect with the temple priests.

Agnihotri said that to make the experience of pilgrims more pleasant, the Himachal Pradesh government is also working on the beautification and infrastructure development of all major temples.

Special emphasis is also being laid on better facilities for devotees to rest in temples. Mukesh Agnihotri said that pilgrimage places in Himachal Pradesh are the center point of tourism and with this in view, a plan is being prepared to develop temples so that along with pilgrimage, local people can also get employment opportunities.
