Delhi Capitals New Captain for IPL 2023 David Warner

Indian wicketkeeper Rishab Pant, the Captain of Delhi Capitals set to miss the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Australia Player David Warner has been named as the Captain of the Delhi Capitals in the upcoming season.

Pant, who was named the Permanent Captain of Delhi Capitals at the start of last season, is recovering from a near-fatal road accident that he had in January. Pant is doing well now but his return to competitive cricket is still in doubt. 

In the absence of Pant, the team will be led by David Warner.

David Warner himself is dealing with an injury that ruled him out from the next to test matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Warner dealt a blow in his arm while facing a delivery by Indian fast bowler Mohammad Siraj. The left-handed opener was subsequently ruled out of the remainder of the test series. After the match, David Warner is declared unfit for the next two matches.
