Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu could not even guess that there would be such cross voting in the Rajya Sabha elections. Such ignorance cannot be accepted. CM could not keep his MLAs together. If there is a rebellion within the Congress party in the future, doubts arise about whether the CM will be able to stop it.
Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh: Pratibha Singh is the current state president, but she should be fielded in the Lok Sabha elections. The post of Himachal Pradesh Congress President should be handed over to someone else.
Distrustful Vikramaditya Singh: Vikramaditya Singh actions during the crisis broke the discipline of the Congress Party. Prominent leaders doubt whether Vikramaditya Singh can even be trusted for the future.
Six Congress rebel MLAs: BJP lured six Congress MLAs who cross-voted. Himachal Pradesh BJP is continuously trying to destabilize the Congress government.
The observers also gave these suggestions in their report –
- Immediate reforms will have to be done to save the Himachal government from becoming unstable. Before the implementation of the code of conduct, corporation and other posts should be distributed to the 12 disgruntled MLAs. All these MLAs are not unanimous, their unity can be broken anytime by BJP.
- BJP wanted to topple the Congress government and hold Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections simultaneously, hence changing the Chief Minister would not be right.
- Form a coordination committee of Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and party chief state leaders,Two members should be suggested by the Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge Itself.
