Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has hit back at the statement of former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur on stopping MLA funds in the MLA constituency Seraj.

CM Sukhu, in an informal conversation with journalists, said that no MLA fund has been closed. CM Sukhu said that everyone has to get MLA fund and MLA fund has also been announced in the budget. CM Sukhu, while targeting former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, has said that why is Jairam Thakur being so desperate for MLA funds?

CM Sukhu said that Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur should worry about the people of Himachal Pradesh.

CM Sukhu said that during the heart-wrenching natural disaster in Himachal Pradesh, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has not sought help from the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.

CM Sukhu also said that Himachal Pradesh BJP leaders are doing their best to stop the pending disaster relief amount of Rs. 10 thousand crores at the Centre.

Let us tell you that, former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, in a press conference in Mandi district recently, had targeted the Himachal Pradesh government for not receiving the last installment of the amount of Rs 2 crore 10 lakh of the MLA area fund.

Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur had said that if the final installment of MLA fund is not received in the next two days, then BJP MLAs will boycott the priority meeting.

Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur has said that during his tenure, he had made a provision for MLA fund in the budget of Himachal Pradesh, but could not release the final installment due to the imposition of code of conduct in the assembly elections.

Now the last installment of MLA Area Fund amounting to Rs 50 lakh has been frozen by the present Congress government.
