Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that no funds have been released for the Brahmin Welfare Board and Rajput Welfare Board in the last three years till January 15, 2024. CM Sukhu said that no chairman or member has been appointed in the General Category Commission. Nor has its tenure been extended. The state government has decided to implement various schemes for the welfare and development of the people of the state. These also include people from Brahmin and Rajput communities. CM Sukhu has given this information in a written reply to the question of Dehra MLA Hoshyar Singh. He asked a question about the General Category Commission. He asked how much funds were released for Brahmin Welfare Board and Rajput Welfare Board in the last three years till January 15, 2024.
Hatu-Narkanda ropeway will be built on availability of funds –
Construction of ropeway from Narkanda to Hatu is possible only subject to availability of funds and completion of formalities. The estimated cost of this 3.10 km long ropeway is Rs 172 crore. Ropeway and Rapid Transport System Development Corporation has issued tenders for this ropeway, in which no bidder has shown interest. A letter has also been written to the Central Government under the Parvatmala Scheme. TCP Minister Rajesh Dharmani has given this information in written reply to the question of MLA Kuldeep Rathore.
Golf course at Paragpur, River rafting complex at Nadaun –
Construction of golf course, theme park and resort is proposed in Paragpur of Kangra district. Construction work is proposed for tourism development in other districts including river rafting complex in Nadaun in Hamirpur, heliport in Jaskot, roller skating or ice skating rink in Manali in Kullu, high end resort in Phuladhar in Mandi, heliport in Chanshal and Chaupal in Shimla. The Chief Minister gave this information in a written reply to the question of MLA Hans Raj.
Himachal government serious to stop illegal mining –
To stop illegal mining, the government has formed sub-division level inspection squads. There is a ban on transportation of mining material in the border areas between 8 pm and 6 am. There is a strict provision for penalty on illegal mining. Industries Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan has given this information in written reply to the question of MLA KL Thakur.
Budget for Research Laboratory in Nauni University –
Under the World Bank funded Horticulture Development Project, the government has released Rs 45.55 crore to Horticulture University, Nauni for setting up a research laboratory. Equipment has also been purchased for the laboratory. Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi gave this information in written reply to the question of MLA Chaitanya Sharma.
3304 people injured in 2253 road accidents –
In Himachal Pradesh, 3304 people were injured in 2253 road accidents in the year 2023. In these accidents, 4 people suffered permanent disability and 889 died. A total of 65 accidents involving HRTC buses occurred during this period. SDRF released the maximum amount of Rs 8 lakh 30 thousand in Shimla district through District Deputy Commissioners, while no money was given in Kangra district.
