Hamirpur, July 03: Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has said that the defeat of Prem Kumar Dhumal has caused a great loss to Hamirpur district. There has been no development work in Hamirpur district for the last five years. Jairam Thakur stopped the development of Hamirpur district to weaken Prem Kumar Dhumal. No minister was made from Hamirpur district. Prem Kumar Dhumal was the declared Chief Minister in 2017, he was defeated under a conspiracy. Those people were involved in this along with BJP, who conspired to topple the current Congress government. No one would have thought that a small district like Hamirpur would get a Chief Minister again. But, for the first time, Congress made a Chief Minister from lower Himachal Pradesh. Three MLAs from my own district were involved in the conspiracy to topple the government.
MLAs and people of other districts want a Chief Minister from their district and three MLAs of Hamirpur district are busy in removing the Chief Minister. These are the same people who also conspired to defeat Prem Kumar Dhumal. The Chief Minister said these things during election campaign in favour of Congress candidate Dr. Pushpinder Verma in Balh, Baloh, Aghar, Dharog, Khagal and Dhaned of Hamirpur assembly constituency.

When there was an attempt to topple the Congress government, 34 MLAs from Shimla, Kangra, Sirmaur, Kullu, two from Una, Chamba etc. districts stood with me like a rock, but three MLAs from Hamirpur district betrayed me. Among them, independent MLA Ashish Sharma is in the arrogance of money. He resigned in 14 months in arrogance and thought that by buying votes with the power of money, he will become MLA again for three and a half years. I request the people of Hamirpur to teach a tough lesson to those who do money-power politics.
Ashish Sharma has sold himself in the political market of BJP, he has sold the votes and sentiments of the people of Hamirpur. This political evil of horse-trading which BJP and independent MLAs have started in Himachal, only the people can put an end to it. This election is also about saving the value of the people’s vote. Because, if those who buy votes with money win again, then the value of the vote will end. Ashish Sharma is a businessman and those who trade votes should not have any place in politics.
CM Sukhu said that the former independent MLA has made wealth by looting the mineral wealth of the people. He was an independent MLA, if the Congress government was not working, he should have sat in the opposition with the BJP, what was the need to resign. But, there was pressure from the briefcase full of goods received from BJP and the second installment also had to be taken. Even now he is contesting the election to become an MLA. If the work was not being done earlier, then who expects that the work will be done now.
I am the Chief Minister, our government is there for three and a half years, if Ashish becomes an MLA by mistake, then work will still not be done, because I have to do the work. Therefore, vote for Congress candidate Dr. Pushpinder Verma. Pushpinder is an honest person and is serving you. Give him a chance, whatever work he tells me, I will do it. All the problems of the people regarding water, bus and road etc. will be solved. Choose sustainable Pushpinder instead of sellable Ashish.
The CM said that in the previous government, papers were sold in Hamirpur Subordinate Selection Board and Jairam Thakur slept peacefully while being the Chief Minister. After coming to power, the Congress government dissolved the selection board and sent the paper sellers behind the bars. Jairam has played with the future of the youth of the state. All the recruitments during his time were pending in the court, our government has started the process of releasing the result and giving appointment by pleading in the court in the right manner. We have made 22 thousand government recruitments in 14 months, Jairam government gave only 20000 government jobs in 5 years.
Our government started the work of bus stand which was stuck for 15 years in Hamirpur district. Gave the office of Transport Appellate Authority, Chief Engineer Electrical, Headquarters of Solar Energy, Pollution Control Board. Gandhi Chowk’s face changed, beautification is being done by removing the electricity wires of the entire city. Apart from this, work of electricity, water and roads worth crores of rupees is going on. People should vote for Pushpinder for the Chief Minister and development of Hamirpur district.
