CM Sukhu: Himachal Pradesh government will also implement Early Childhood Care and Education Tutor Scheme

Shimla, June 27: Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said in Shimla on Thursday that the Himachal Pradesh government is going to launch the Himachal Pradesh Early Childhood Care and Education Tutor Scheme for children in the age group of 3-6 years, so that the all-round development of children can be ensured.

The CM said that currently 6,297 pre-primary sections are being run in primary schools in Himachal Pradesh, where about 60 thousand students are receiving education.

Apart from this, 2,377 Anganwadi centers have also been operated in the premises of these primary schools.

The CM said that under the National Education Policy-2020, the education department of the states has been suggested to prepare a comprehensive early childhood care and education program.

The CM said that the education department will implement all four formats of the early childhood care and education program. He said that under these four formats, Anganwadi centres, Anganwadi centres running in primary schools, children of 5-6 years of age studying in previously established pre-primary schools and pre-primary schools will be included.

The CM said that the state government will appoint tutors for 6,297 schools as per the norms of National Council for Technical Education. This initiative of the Himachal government shows the commitment to quality education and all-round development of children.

CM Sukhu said that providing quality education to the students near their homes and incorporating innovation in the field of education is the basic objective of the Himachal Pradesh government.

The CM said that the Himachal Pradesh government is going to fill various posts of teachers and the process has been started for this so that the studies of the students are not affected due to lack of teachers in the schools.

The CM said that the Himachal Pradesh government is going to open one Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School in each assembly constituency of the state.
