Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Said – Till Now There Has Been a Loss of About Rs 15 Thousand Crore due to the Disaster in the Himachal Pradesh – Sought a Special Economic Package from the Centre.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed gratitude to Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi for writing a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to declare the damage caused by heavy rains and floods in the state as a national disaster and he said that Priyanka Gandhi has recently written to many areas of the state.

The Chief Minister said that so far four hundred and twenty eight people have died due to this disaster and more than thirteen thousand houses and buildings in the state were completely or partially damaged.
He said that large parts of Shimla, Parwanoo and Mandi-Manali National Highway have been damaged by landslides.
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that due to this disaster, the loss so far has been estimated to be around twelve to fifteen thousand crore rupees.
He once Then the Central Government has been requested to declare this disaster in the state as a national disaster and provide special financial assistance.
