Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Chamba, June 02The voting for the Lok Sabha elections in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh was completed in a transparent and peaceful manner on Saturday, 1 June.274079 voters participated in the voting process in Chamba district, in which 136241 were male and 137837 were female as well as 1 third gender voter.A total of 4 lakh 9 thousand 227 voters are registered in Chamba district.

The voting percentage in Chamba district has been recorded at 66.97 percent. Complete information has been given by Chamba District Election Officer and DC Mukesh Repswal. Mukesh Repswal said that 57972 voters participated in the voting process in Churah assembly constituency, in which 28675 male voters and 29297 female voters participated.
He said that a total of 81752 voters were registered in Churah assembly constituency and the total voting percentage was recorded as 70.91 percent.
He said that a total of 51104 voters voted in Bharmour assembly constituency, out of which 26650 were male voters and 24454 were female voters.He said that a total of 80941 voters were registered in Bharmour assembly constituency and the voting percentage was recorded as 63.14 percent.

He said that a total of 59643 voters successfully participated in the voting process in Chamba Assembly constituency, out of which 30508 were male voters and 29135 were female voters.
A total of 86738 voters were registered in Chamba Assembly constituency and the voting percentage was recorded at 68.76 percent.
He said that a total of 52124 voters successfully participated in the voting process in Dalhousie Assembly constituency, which included 25056 male voters and 27067 female voters as well as 1 third gender voter. A total of 78249 voters are registered in Dalhousie Assembly constituency and the voter turnout was 66.61 percent.
He said that a total of 53236 voters successfully participated in the voting process in Bhattiyat Assembly constituency, in which 25352 male voters and 27884 female voters participated. A total of 81547 voters are registered in Bhattiyat Assembly constituency and the voter turnout was 65.28 percent.
Chamba District Election Officer and DC Mukesh Repswal said that women voters in Chamba district participated in the voting process of Lok Sabha elections with full zeal and enthusiasm.He said that there are a total of 202258 women voters in Chamba district, out of which 137837 participated in the voting process.He said that a total of 206967 male voters are registered in Chamba district, out of which 136241 have participated in the voting process.
