The main driver Yakub died at the age of twenty-four when the jeep fell into a ditch.
The driver who fell into the ditch in the jeep has been mainly identified as Yakub, aged twenty-four years, son of Ghulam, resident of Palaur.
Yakub was leaving towards Batot on Sunday afternoon with ration from the government depot of Chamba district.
As soon as Yakub’s jeep reached Khaddal, the jeep laden with ration suddenly went out of control and fell into the ditch.
Seeing the jeep falling into the ditch, the local people immediately came forward to lend a helping hand. As soon as information was received about the incident of jeep falling into the ditch, the main team of Bharmour police station reached the spot. With the help of Bharmour police teams and local people, the dead body of main driver Yakub, aged twenty-four years, in the jeep was taken out from the deep ditch by local people and Bharmour police teams. The bodies of the jeep and the dead drivers were taken out from the deep ditch. Bharmour police, while investigating the case, said that no one except the driver Yakub was present during the accident.
Bharmour police teams have informed the driver’s family about the death of Yakub at the spot. In the presence of local people, Bharmour police got the post-mortem of Yakub’s body done at Bharmour District Hospital.
After post-mortem, Yakub’s body has been handed over to the family members by Bharmour police.
The main reasons behind the accident in which the jeep went out of control and overturned are yet to be known.
