The festival of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Durga twice a year all over India. During Navratri, Mother Durga is specially worshiped for 9 days. This year, the festival of Navratri will start on 9th April and the first puja will begin with the installation of the Kalash. The festival of Chaitra Navratri will be celebrated with great pomp for 9 days and with it the Hindu New Year will also begin.

Ghat Sthapana will be established on the first day of Chaitra Navratri and different forms of Maa Durga will be worshiped for 9 days. Mother Durga is called the goddess of happiness, prosperity and wealth. In such a situation, it is believed that the devotees who worship Goddess Durga during Navratri have special blessings of Mata Rani. Maha Saptami is on 15th April and Nisha Puja will be performed at night on this day. Mahashtami will be worshiped on 16th April and Navratri will be concluded on 17th April on the day of Ramnavami.

Pandit Shashi Pal Dogra told that on this day the first Navratri Ghat Sthapana Muhurat will be from 6:12 am to 10:23 am and this Muhurat will last for 4 hours and 11 minutes. Same, Abhijeet Muhurta will be from 12:30 to 12:53 in the afternoon. Whose duration will be 50 minutes. Pandit Shashi Pal Dogra told that the Kalash should be established in the north-east direction of the temple and the Kalash should be installed after placing Mata’s stool on it. Then put a betel nut, some coins, Durva and a lump of turmeric in the urn. Keep a coconut wrapped in a red cloth on the mouth of the Kalash.

Pandit Shashi Pal Dogra told that after making octagons from rice, install the idol of Maa Durga and cover it with red or pink chunari. Along with the installation of the Kalash, the Akhand Deepak is also installed. After that, worship Maa Shailputri on the first day of Navratri and pray to Maa Durga for your happiness and prosperity.
