Cattle Smuggling At Indo-Bangaladesh Border 2023
Cattle smuggling has been a persistent issue along the India-Bangladesh border for years. MEASURES TAKEN BY THE GOVERNMENT
To address this problem, the Indian government has been taking various measures recently to combat cattle smuggling. Authorities have installed surveillance cameras, set up checkposts, deployed additional border guards, and increased patrol activities. In addition, the government is also considering building a fence along the border that would prevent both human and cattle trafficking.
The government has also been working closely with farmers and ranchers to promote the use of radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology to make it easier to trace and track cattle. This technology ensures that smuggled cattle can be identified and returned to their owners quickly.
