As a response to the Pulwama terror attack, 12 Indian Air Force Mirage-2000 fighter jets struck a Jaish-e-Mohammed training camp in Balakot inside Pakistan with precision-guided munitions in the early hours of 26 February.
The entire operation of launching the air strike and coming back safely to Indian soil was codenamed ‘Operation Bandar’. This name was given to maintain secrecy and to ensure that the air raid plans were not leaked.
However, DG ISPR Major General Ahmed Sharif said, “Under the false flag of Pulwama attack, India staged a cowardly attack on an imaginary target. The courageous, determined and measured response from Pakistan foiled Indian nefarious designs.” done.”
He further claimed, “Pak Air Force is always ready, not only to defend every inch of the motherland, but also to take the fight back from the enemy, if ever, aggression is inflicted on us.”
Sharif’s action came after Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir revealed that former army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa had admitted that Pakistan had ammunition, arms and ammunition to fight India in order to repair the country’s image. There is lack of economic power.
However, Indian defense experts termed the statement of DG ISPR as a “clear sign of desperation”.
General Bajwa admitted that Pakistan “cannot go to war with India”, said Hamid Mir. During the conference of commanders’ meeting, Bajwa confessed that ‘Pakistan Army is no match for the Indian Army.’
The ISPR DG refuted the journalist’s claims as it was widely reported in the Indian media.
Mir and Naseem Zahra – said during a show on UK-based Pakistani media ‘UK44′ that General Bajwa had revealed in 2021 that he had secret talks with India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and had prepared plans for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.
