Shimla, September 20: In a significant development, the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has approved the declaration of results for post codes 903 and 939. The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission has been authorised to release the result while keeping five posts under post code 903 and six posts under post code 939 vacant. These posts will remain in abeyance till the ongoing probe and court proceedings are over.

The decision has been taken in view of a comprehensive review of the recruitment processes in the state, to ensure transparency and accountability. The probe into some posts under these codes is part of the government’s efforts to maintain fairness in the recruitment processes.

Apart from the recruitment decisions, the Cabinet approved several other significant measures, including promoting the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Solan as the apex institution for school and teacher training at the state level. The move aims to enhance the quality of education by focusing on academic research and professional development for teachers.

Besides, the Cabinet extended the benefit of ‘Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Loan Scheme’ to meritorious students pursuing professional and vocational courses in foreign educational institutions. Under the scheme, students will be able to avail educational loans at an interest rate of just one per cent, providing financial relief to those wishing to study abroad.

The Cabinet also decided to fill 100 vacant posts of Assistant Forest Guards in the Forest Department as well as 33 posts in the Printing and Stationery Department. Law enforcement got a boost with the approval of a new police station at Sissu in Lahaul-Spiti district, along with the creation and filling of 18 posts to make the station functional. Additionally, six posts were approved for the newly opened police post at Hatli in Chamba district.

Other decisions include filling up of two posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police, one post of Dispenser in District Jail Mandi and several key posts in Home Department and Advocate General’s Office, Himachal Pradesh.
