CRI Kasauli: BSL-3 lab will be built in CRI, virus will be detected, Union Minister laid virtual foundation stone

On the occasion of the inauguration of BSL Lab, State Health Minister Professor SP Singh Baghel and Bharti Parveen Pawar also registered their presence through virtual medium.

Bio Safety Level Three (BSL Three) laboratory will be established at Central Research Institute (CRI), Kasauli. All new dangerous viruses and bacteria coming in future will be researched by scientists through BSL-3 lab. The research of all new dangerous viruses and bacteria is going to play an important role in the field of health and soon all the researchers will be able to easily manufacture medicines for viruses and bacteria. On Tuesday, the foundation stone of the BSL Lab was laid by Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Health Minister of the Government of India, through virtual medium. On the occasion of the inauguration of BSL Lab, along with State Health Minister Professor SP Singh Baghel, Bharti Parveen Pawar also registered her presence through virtual medium. Apart from this, Shimla parliamentary constituency MP Suresh Kashyap has also registered his presence in CRI Kasauli.

With the establishment of the Bio Safety Level (BSL) Lab, research work has been started by the scientists of the Lab. All dangerous viruses of the future can be easily researched in full depth by researchers in BSL labs.
Permission to establish a BSL lab was given by the Central Government and the Directorate General of Health Services in 2023 last year. The most important thing about BSL Lab is that it has become the first modern health lab in the entire Himachal Pradesh. All modern machines for research are going to be installed in the BSL lab. With the installation of modern machines, the entire research work can be easily completed by the researchers. Till now, important research to detect any dangerous virus of future has been done only in the modern lab of New Delhi, the capital of India.
BSL Lab will easily detect all dangerous viruses of future –
Till now, researchers were able to know about the most dangerous virus of the future in the lab established in CRI Kasauli. In CRI Kasauli, research work was done only on all the bacteria which cause less harm. But now through the modern machines of BSL Lab, scientists can easily find out about all the diseases caused by bacteria and vaccines for dangerous viruses and bacteria can also be produced in the BSL Lab of CRI Kasauli. In the BSL Lab of CRI Kasauli, all the research work can be easily completed by the scientists with the new system. Along with the establishment of BSL Lab, genome research work of dangerous viruses like Corona will also be done in CRI Kasauli.
Foundation stones and inaugurations of many important schemes by the Central Government –
Inaugural program of upgradation of NCDC New Delhi and foundation stone of NCDC Regional Branch, branch of six important states of NCDC as well as two Bio Safety Level (BSL-III) was laid today.
In the foundation stone laying ceremony, Union Health Minister of the Government of India, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has said that the most important reason for setting up the Bio Safety Level (BSL-Three) lab is to expand health services at a rapid pace across India. Mansukh Mandaviya also said that all efforts are being made continuously by the Honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi to make India prosperous in the field of health. Apart from this, the National Center for Disease Control is going to prove helpful in preventing various serious diseases.
