Bird hit hasn't been proven: Nepal Civil Aviation Minister on Fly Dubai incident
A flydubai flight that took off from Kathmandu airport on Monday with over 160 passengers on board landed safely in Dubai on Tuesday morning. Official Nepal Television gave this information.
According to airport sources, the aircraft developed an engine failure soon after it took off from the Tribhuvan International Airport at 9.20 am on Monday.
The aircraft circled in the sky for some time. The pilots later told the control tower that they would proceed after all indicators were found to be normal.
“The flydubai flight landed safely in Dubai,” Nepal Television said on Tuesday.
Sudan Kirati, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, wrote on his Facebook account that the flydubai flight was flying safely to its destination and urged everyone not to worry.
In a tweet on Monday, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) said, “flydubai flight 576 (Boeing 737-800) from Kathmandu to Dubai is currently operating as normal and is proceeding to destination Dubai as per flight plan.” ”
More than 160 people, including 50 Nepali nationals, were on board the aircraft.
Eyewitnesses had earlier claimed that they saw the plane on fire in the sky over Kathmandu.
