Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur district Abid Hussain Sadiq said that all the drinking water schemes and power transmissions that were damaged due to heavy rains in the district have been restored.
He told a press conference in Bilaspur that no house in the district has been completely damaged and those houses which have been partially damaged have been given interim relief as prescribed by the government.
He said that according to the notification of the government, the reconstruction work of the damage caused due to rain is being done under MNREGA.
He said – As you know it rained on 9-10-11. Because of that our district has also suffered a lot. We mean that as soon as we can give them healing touch, as soon as we can do their work, this is our effort.
I have also told my field officers that as soon as possible, because they should feel that the state government and the district administration are working for us, we are working for them.
So that they don’t suffer more loss than what they have suffered in the future. If due to any reason a riot has happened, lest his house collapses, these works will be done to restore his riot immediately.
