Baddi Fire: Unable To Jump From The Third Floor, They Hid In Toilets To Save Their Lives, Four Women Lost Their Lives Due To Suffocation
Four bodies were recovered by NDRF teams on Saturday in a perfume factory in Jharmajri in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. All four bodies are of female workers.
Yesterday, all four women workers were working on the third floor.
The four women workers could not muster the courage to jump from the third floor and two women workers hid in the toilet in one corner and two other women workers hid in the toilet in the other corner.
But little did those four women workers know that it would be so difficult to escape from the heat and poisonous smoke of the fire.
All four women workers died in the toilet itself.
The condition of the four women workers was so pathetic that it was difficult for the NDRF teams to even identify their bodies.
Due to the heat of the massive fire, the clothes of the four women workers were badly stuck to their bodies.
Preliminary investigation suggests that all four women died due to suffocation and burns.
According to complete information, after lunch in NR Aroma Company, all the workers went to their respective floors and started making perfume.
About 10 minutes after the meal, a fire suddenly broke out in the store on the first floor.
According to the workers, due to cold the chemical drum was being heated due to which the fire broke out.
When the massive fire broke out, the workers on the ground floor and first floor jumped easily but 8 female workers on the second and third floor could not muster the courage and to save their lives, four female workers hid in the toilets on both sides of the third floor.
NDRF teams started the search operation from 12:00 noon on Saturday but due to the high temperature inside NR Aroma Company, NDRF teams have not been able to go inside yet.
The toilets were built outside.
As soon as the toilets were demolished from both sides, bodies of four women workers were recovered.
The bodies of the four women workers have been sent to Nalagarh Hospital for post-mortem.
The workers’ clothes were also stuck to the bodies of the four deceased women workers.
Of the dead bodies of four female workers, three female workers have been identified by their family members.
