Baddi Fire Case: Two Skeletons Recovered, Two Workers Still Missing, Danger In Search Operation Due to Poisonous Drums

Two skeletons were recovered from the debris of the third floor on Sunday during a search operation in the perfume company located in Jharmajri industrial area. Both the skeletons have been taken into custody by Solan Police and sent to Nalagarh Hospital for identification.

If identification is not made at Nalagarh Hospital, then after conducting DNA test, it is going to be sent to laboratory for forensic examination. A search campaign has been conducted in perfume company by Public Works Department, Fire Brigade, Police, SDFR and Pollution Board.

During the search operation, two bone structures were found from the debris of the third floor. Both skeletons could be those of a missing worker. Both the skeletons have been sent by Solan Police to Nalagarh Hospital for identification.
Family members are going to be called to Nalagarh Hospital. If identification is not made then DNA test of both the skeletons will be done. After the fire in the perfume company, 30 workers were injured and 8 are missing. Next day, four dead bodies were found in two toilets. Three had been identified. After identification, all three were handed over to their family members for last rites. While one has not been identified yet. After getting DNA test done by the relatives of all the missing workers, Solan Police has sent it to Forensic Laboratory Junga for investigation.

Fourth body will be known only after the report comes from the laboratory. But since the body was very old, the police cremated it after getting its DNA done.

Two workers still missing –

Two workers are still missing. Bodies of six workers have been found. DSP Khajana Ram said that Solan Police has taken possession of two skeletons and sent them to Nalagarh Hospital. Where they will be identified. If they are not identified, a DNA test will be conducted and DNA will be matched to family members. Search operation is going to continue on Monday also.

Drums of poisonous gases can cause fire –

Work of removing chemical drums continued on the third day also. Drums still survive. Drums of chemicals are going to be picked up from the company on Monday also. These drums will be loaded in trucks and scientifically destroyed at Solid Waste Management in Dabhota. Shed cutting work in the factory also continued throughout the day.
