Major negligence regarding security arrangements has come to light in the perfume factory of Jharmajri, an industrial area in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. Preliminary investigation by NDRF has revealed that the perfume factory operators had not made any emergency exit from the factory.

Due to which, when a massive fire broke out yesterday afternoon, there was a stampede among the women workers.

The workers on the ground floor and the first floor somehow managed to escape, but many workers from the upper second and third floors were unable to jump after losing courage.

If NR Aroma Company had an emergency door, all 30 workers would not have had to jump from the roof today.

Most of the workers’ spines were broken due to jumping from the roof.

Pinky, a female worker from Baddi, also lost her life due to jumping from the roof. The deceased female worker Pinky was badly injured after jumping from the roof. Not only this, preliminary investigation by NDRF revealed that more chemicals were kept in the store built in the perfume plant than required.

After the fire in the store room, NR Aroma Company did not have sufficient resources available to extinguish the massive fire.

Due to which the plant head and operator of NR Aroma Company is being said to be responsible for the entire incident.

On the other hand, it is being said that mostly women worked in the perfume factory.

Women workers were engaged in packing work.

Due to lack of trained workers, the women workers were not able to extinguish the massive fire that broke out in the perfume plant in the beginning.

Due to the huge fire, the women workers got scared and there was a stampede.

If trained women workers had been in the plant, they could have controlled the massive fire from the beginning.

DSP Khajana Ram told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that a complete case has been registered by Solan District Police against the operator and perfume plant head of NR Aroma Company under sections 385, 336, 337, 285 and 304. The perfume plant head of NR Aroma Company will soon be produced in the Himachal Pradesh High Court. An important decision has been taken from the Himachal Pradesh High Court to send the plant head of NR Aroma Company on four-day Solan District Police remand.
