The driving force of these sky people is to colonize the planet Pandora and make it the future of humanity.

What can you expect from this James Cameron film?

Calling this film a visual treat would be underplaying it. Russell Carpenter– the cinematographer of Avatar: The Way of Water, has yet to leave any stone unturned in expounding the film. The sheer detailing with which the beauty of the mesmerizing blue Pandora captured is enough to captivate moviegoers with its charm.

However, the film is not a mere eye candy devoid of emotions. It is emotionally gripping, exploring the untapped emotional side of the protagonist Jake Sully. The beauty with which the character development of Jake and Neytiri’s four children presented is remarkable, with each child having a distinct personality and different struggles being exceptionally written.

The actors have all done justice to their roles. Sam Worthington has blended so well into his character that it makes one believe Jake Sully exists. So is the case with Zoe Saldana she has done a terrific job with Neytiri. The Academy Award-winning actress Kate Winslet has done a tremendous job in playing the pivotal role of Ronal in this movie. The characters of the teenage kids of Jake Sully and Neytiri, played by Jamie Flatters, Britain Dalton, Trinity Jo-Li, and Sigourney Weaver, have done a stunning job.

The action sequence is another positive to keep in mind if planning to watch this marvel. It is well crafted and stirs a medley of emotion when viewed. The background score is truly an asset of this spectacle. Grammy-winning composer Simon Franglen has done a tremendous job composing the background score. The song ‘Nothing is Lost’ by The Weeknd in the closing credits scene is hypnotic.

Underwhelming aspects of Avatar: The Way of Water

However, Avatar: The Way of Water is not sans flaws harboring its own set of drawbacks.

The runtime is over three hours long, which can get gruelling for the viewers. Redundant details are another menace that plagues this movie upsetting the moviegoers. The movie’s plot is unsurprising and obvious. It might be a concerning downside for its viewers. The debatable character of Spider, a human child left behind on Pandora who longs to be one of the Na’vis seems unexciting and laughable. The dialogue does not hit home, especially since the conversation between the kids seems too informal for the traditional tribe of Na’vi.

Is Avatar: The Way of Water worth watching?

While these might be a few flaws that viewers need to be aware of before indulging in this, do not let this demotivate you from watching this riveting treat.

The movie made over a whopping budget of $25 crores this movie is all set to go down in history. It is a remarkable spectacle offering a great watch with visuals on an extraordinary level.
