Dharamshala, July 28: A deep sadness descended on Narelu village of Bharwana Panchayat in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, when a 25-year-old brave soldier Ajay Rana died due to illness. Ajay had joined the army five years ago and was currently posted in Bari Brahmana, Jammu, with the 8th Dogra Regiment. Ajay was suffering from liver disease and was taken to Delhi Hospital for treatment. He breathed his last on Saturday.

Ajay’s body will reach his village Narelu on Sunday morning. After this, his last rites will be performed near Awa Khad, where the people of the entire village will gather to bid a final farewell to their brave son. Ajay’s father was also in the army and he also died due to electric shock during duty.

Ajay Rana’s ring ceremony was held three months ago and preparations for the wedding were going on at home but nature had something else in store. Ajay has left behind his old mother and two elder sisters, who are married.
