Since the climate of industrial areas Baddi and Kala Amb of Himachal Pradesh is found to be the most polluted, people have been asked to stay away from these areas due to health problems.
Baddi and Kala Amb, the industrial areas of Himachal Pradesh, have been declared as the highest in Himachal Pradesh Air Quality Index.
BBN- Baddi and Kala Amb industrial areas of Himachal Pradesh have been found to have the most polluted climate.
In the Air Quality Index released by the Himachal Pradesh Pollution Department, Baddi and Kala Amb have been found to be the most polluted, due to which the air pollution in Baddi and Kala Amb is likely to increase further in the coming days due to Diwali.
Due to which Paonta Sahib, Barotiwala, Nalagarh, Una and Damtal of Himachal Pradesh are currently being declared as satisfactory zones by the Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board.
In the Himachal Pradesh Pollution Air Quality Index, the air of the capital Shimla is said to be the cleanest. Also, Dharamshala, Sundernagar and Parwanoo in Himachal Pradesh are being reported to have the best air pollution in the Air Quality Index in Himachal Pradesh.
According to Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Department, air quality index less than fifty is considered best for environmental protection.
The air quality index between fifty-one and hundred is said to be satisfactory.
An air quality index of one hundred and one to two hundred is considered to be in the moderate zone.
Also, the air quality index from 201 to 300 is being reported in the poor category.
The air quality index of Baddi and Kala Amb, the industrial areas of Himachal Pradesh, has been measured by the Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Department as 163, while MP-10 is being reported as 195 and SO2 is 1.68.
On the other hand, Kala Amb, the industrial area of Himachal Pradesh, is ranked second in the report of Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Department, the air quality index of Kala Amb has been measured by the Himachal Pradesh Air Pollution Control Department at 149, and Kala Amb’s MP-10. Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Department is reporting one hundred and sixty-four. Whereas SO2 has been measured the highest at 6.8.
Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Department has clearly said in its report that according to the Air Quality Index report in the industrial areas of Himachal Pradesh, Baddi and Kala Amb, due to the highest amount of dust particles being found in the air in both the industrial development areas, people are suffering. There will be difficulty in breathing and it will also have the biggest impact on the skin.
On the other hand, according to the Air Quality Index report of Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Department, the air quality index has been measured at fifty-nine in Una, sixty-one in Damtal, seventy-four in Paonta Sahib, sixty-two in Barotiwala and fifty-four in Nalagarh, which is fifty-one according to the Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board. It has been declared satisfactory in the range of 100 to 100 air quality index.
On the other hand, the air quality index of Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla has been measured by the Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Department as the lowest at 28.
Whereas the air quality index of Dharamshala has been measured at forty-seven, the air quality index of Sundernagar has been measured at forty-one and the air quality index of Parwanoo has been measured at thirty-six.
Bal Kishan, General Secretary, Himachal Pradesh, an organization that is continuously working actively for environmental protection in the entire Himachal Pradesh, Baljit Singh, President, Himachal Pradesh Kala Khad Environment Protection Society, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the air quality in BBN. Due to continuous deterioration in the index, along with air pollution, water pollution is also continuously increasing.
Giving information, Bal Kishan and Baljeet Singh said that now there is no potable water left in all the sources of water in BBN.
Baddi Industrial Development Area of Himachal Pradesh is considered to be the largest pharma hub of Asia. All types of medicines are being manufactured continuously for the last few years in Baddi Industrial Development Area.
The waste coming out from the pharmaceutical companies in BBN is left on the dumping ground itself, due to which the chemicals and chemical substances left in the ground by all the pharma companies of BBN are getting mixed in all these water sources. Water pollution is continuously increasing in BBN. Due to severe water pollution, all the residents and workers of Baddi and Kala Amb of BBN may have to face serious health problems in the future.
Praveen Gupta, senior engineer of Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that he has issued orders to routinely check the air quality index of all industries and the continuously increasing water pollution in BBN. Praveen Gupta said that notices are being issued with immediate effect to all the industries where deficiencies are found. Giving scope for strict action, Praveen Gupta told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that even after issuing the notice, if the deficiencies are not resolved by the concerned industries in time, then strict legal action will be taken by completely disconnecting all the electricity connections and all the strictly guidliines notice process is also started.
