Una, August 11: Torrential rains are wreaking havoc in the hilly state, and meanwhile news of a tragic accident has come to light on the border of the neighboring state of Punjab. The Innova car of a family of Dehla village was swept away in the river current, killing 9 people, while 2-3 people are reported missing.
According to the information received, this accident took place in Jaijo Khad of Punjab. 12 people were traveling in the car, out of which the bodies of 9 have been recovered. All these people were residents of Dehlan and Bhatoli villages and were going to attend a wedding ceremony. After receiving the information, Himachal Police also reached the spot and is searching for the missing people.
During the rescue operation started immediately after the incident, the bodies of 9 have been recovered, while the search for the remaining is going on. It is being told that these people were going to a wedding ceremony and got swept away in the ravine along with the car. The local people have recovered the bodies of 9 out of 12 people, while the search for others is going on. It is being told that the water was in full spate on the ramp of Jejon ravine. The driver of the Scorpio car waited for some time, but seeing the driver of a hydra machine coming from behind crossing the water, he also tried to cross the water. During this time, his car overturned in the strong flow of water and got swept away in the ravine.
During this time, the people around somehow took out two people, but they had died. The other six people went missing, out of which the bodies of three have been found, while the remaining three are being searched. It is being told that all these people are residents of Dehlan village of Una. However, the dead have not been identified yet.
