Nalagarh, August 03: In a tragic development, the body of a youth was found in a toilet at the old bus stand in Nalagarh, in a condition that suggested he had overdosed on drugs. The deceased was identified as Dinesh, a local resident, after people passing by informed the authorities.
According to information, Dinesh entered the toilet on Friday morning and locked the door from inside. When he did not come out for a long time, people got worried, following which they informed the police. The officials who reached the spot opened the door and found Dinesh unconscious.
Initial police investigations suggest drug overdose as the probable cause of death. The body was taken into custody and handed over to the family after post-mortem. Nalagarh police station in-charge Rakesh Roy said the cause of death would be known after the post-mortem report is received.
The incident is similar to a recent tragedy in Bilaspur, where another youth succumbed to drug overdose in a toilet. The deceased Vineet was a student of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Bilaspur and hailed from Badsaur village in Bilaspur Sadar.
