Trump Warns Iran of ‘Massive Bombing’ if Assassination Plot Succeeds, Says He Left Clear Instructions
US President Donald Trump has issued one of his strongest warnings yet against Iran, saying he has already left instructions for a large-scale military response if Tehran ever succeeds in an alleged assassination attempt against him.
US President Donald Trump has issued one of his strongest warnings yet against Iran, saying he has already left instructions for a large-scale military response if Tehran ever succeeds in an alleged assassination attempt against him.
Speaking in an interview with the New York Post, Trump claimed he has remained at the top of Iran’s alleged target list for years. He said that if anything were to happen to him, the response should be overwhelming.
“I’ve been on their list for a long time,” Trump said during the interview. He added that he had directed authorities to respond with military action “at levels they have never seen before” if an assassination attempt were ever successful.
Trump also dismissed reports suggesting that Israeli intelligence had recently warned him about a fresh Iranian assassination plot. According to him, there was no new intelligence from Israel, insisting that the threat against him has existed for years.
His remarks come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran following recent developments involving Iran’s leadership. Former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was laid to rest at the Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad after being killed 131 days earlier in reported joint US-Israel military strikes, according to recent reports.
Despite the sharp warning, Trump indicated that diplomatic engagement with Iran could continue. In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, the US President confirmed that Iran had requested further discussions and that the United States had agreed to continue negotiations.
However, Trump made it clear that Washington still considers the ceasefire with Iran to be over.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has asked us to continue talks. We have agreed to do so, but the United States has stated to them, in no uncertain terms, that the Cease Fire is OVER!” Trump wrote.
His statement comes as Qatari mediators are reportedly travelling to Iran in an effort to reduce regional tensions and restart dialogue between the two countries.
The latest comments underline the complex relationship between the United States and Iran, where diplomatic efforts continue alongside strong military rhetoric. While talks may move forward, Trump’s warning reflects the fragile state of relations between the two nations and the challenges facing any future negotiations.
