Shrey Awasthi Questions Rahul Gandhi’s Kangra Visit, Labels Congress Governance as Anti-People and Exploitative
Shrey Awasthi, State Co-Convenor of the Social Media Department of the Bharatiya Janata Party, launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi over his recent visit to Kangra. He stated that while Rahul Gandhi’s visit to train party workers may be a positive step, it would have been more meaningful if he had also advised the state leadership to address the deteriorating condition of Himachal Pradesh and made an effort to understand the problems faced by the common people.
Awasthi further said that the current situation in the state is deeply concerning, with mismanagement prevailing across almost every government department. He alleged that the policies of the present Congress government have led to widespread public dissatisfaction.
Highlighting the issue of rising costs, he pointed out that the steep increase in fees for various public services has placed a heavy burden on ordinary citizens. As an example, he mentioned that tasks which earlier required a 10 stamp paper now cost up to 100, reflecting the larger trend of financial strain imposed on the public.
He accused the current Congress government of making life increasingly difficult for all sections of society, including farmers, employees, traders, and youth, all of whom, he claimed, are unhappy with the government’s functioning.
Concluding his statement, Awasthi said that the people of the state feel betrayed and are waiting for change. He expressed confidence that in the coming time, the public will hold the government accountable and deliver its verdict at the right moment.
