In a significant escalation of tensions in the Middle East, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has firmly declared that there is no ceasefire in Lebanon, emphasizing that Israel’s military operations against Hezbollah will continue with “full force.”

Addressing the nation, Netanyahu made it clear that the Israeli government remains focused on restoring security for its citizens.

“There is no ceasefire in Lebanon. We are continuing to strike Hezbollah with full force, and we will not stop until we restore your security,” he stated.

⚔️ Fresh Israeli Strikes on Hezbollah

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has reportedly launched a new wave of attacks targeting Hezbollah launch sites across Lebanon. The development signals a continued military push despite ongoing diplomatic discussions in the region.

According to official statements, the strikes are aimed at dismantling Hezbollah’s operational capabilities, which Israel considers a major security threat.

🤝 Proposal for Historic Peace Talks

In a surprising diplomatic move, Netanyahu revealed that he has instructed his Cabinet to initiate direct negotiations with Lebanon. The talks are expected to focus on two major objectives:

  • Disarmament of Hezbollah
  • Establishing a historic peace agreement between Israel and Lebanon

This decision reportedly comes after repeated requests from the Lebanese government to open dialogue.

🇱🇧 Lebanon Pushes for Ceasefire

On the other side, Joseph Aoun has reiterated that a ceasefire remains the only viable solution to the ongoing crisis.

Speaking on the situation, Aoun indicated that initial diplomatic efforts, including ceasefire proposals and negotiations, have received a “positive response.”

🌍 Wider Geopolitical Tensions

The situation becomes even more complex as a fragile understanding involving the United States and Iran hangs in uncertainty. While Iran has suggested that any truce should include halting Israeli operations in Lebanon, both Washington and Israel have denied this claim.

This disagreement has intensified geopolitical uncertainty, raising concerns that broader diplomatic efforts in the region could collapse.
