In a charged address to party workers, Manish Sisodia, senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, called for building a strong grassroots movement in Himachal Pradesh while launching a sharp attack on the BJP-led Centre.
Addressing a gathering in Mandi, Sisodia accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of using central agencies to curb AAP’s growing influence across states. His remarks come at a time when the party is looking to regain momentum in Himachal politics.
⚡ “Prepare for the Real Political Battle”
Sisodia urged party workers to gear up for the next electoral challenge, emphasizing that real change begins at the grassroots level. He encouraged leaders and workers from other political parties to join AAP if they genuinely want development in Himachal Pradesh.
“There is a need for unity, clarity of vision, and strong groundwork,” he said, underlining that AAP’s focus remains on long-term transformation rather than short-term gains.
🚨 Allegations of Political Targeting
The former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister alleged that agencies like the CBI and ED were used to target AAP leaders when the party was gaining popularity in Himachal ahead of previous Assembly elections.
Referring to his own arrest and that of Satyendar Jain, Sisodia claimed these actions were politically motivated. He also mentioned the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, calling it part of a broader attempt to weaken the party.
Sharing a personal note, Sisodia said he spent nearly 18 months in jail on what he described as “false charges,” adding that courts have not found substantial evidence against him.
🌱 AAP’s Vision for Himachal
Sisodia highlighted AAP’s governance model in Delhi, especially in education and healthcare, as a blueprint for change. He said these reforms had once created a strong wave in Himachal, with people looking for an alternative to both BJP and Congress.
He also pointed to the party’s success in Punjab under Bhagwant Mann as a sign of growing public trust.
🏥 “Development Over Politics”
Taking a dig at both BJP and Congress, Sisodia said Himachal has lagged behind in key sectors like education, healthcare, and employment.
“Governments have changed, but the beneficiaries remain the same,” he remarked, accusing both parties of corruption and misgovernance.
He added that true patriotism lies in building quality schools, improving hospitals, and creating jobs for the youth—not in political power struggles.
🎯 Message to Party Workers
In a heartfelt appeal, Sisodia asked party workers to rise above personal ambitions and focus on the bigger goal of transforming Himachal.
“Don’t aim to become MLAs or ministers. Aim to build a better Himachal,” he said, a line that drew strong reactions from the crowd.
🔄 What’s Next for AAP in Himachal?
Marking his first visit to the state after his release from jail, Sisodia reaffirmed his commitment to Himachal Pradesh. He promised to spend more time strengthening the party’s organisation and preparing for upcoming political battles.
His message was clear: AAP is not stepping back—it is preparing for a stronger comeback.
