A grand celebration of faith, tradition, and devotion is set to take place in Sundernagar as the state-level Suket Devta Fair 2026 will be organized during the sacred festival of Chaitra Navratri. This year, the much-awaited fair will be held from March 23 to March 27, promising a vibrant spiritual and cultural gathering.
To ensure the successful organization of the fair, an important meeting of the Suket Sarv Devta Committee was held at the Public Works Department office in Sundernagar. During the meeting, members discussed detailed preparations and formed several sub-committees to manage different aspects of the event.
The Suket Devta Fair is one of the most significant cultural and religious events in the region. Traditionally held every year from the fifth day to the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri, the fair attracts devotees, locals, and visitors who gather to witness the divine presence of various deities and celebrate the rich heritage of Himachal Pradesh.
This year’s celebration will be even more special as the state-level Nalawad Fair will also take place during the same period. Due to this unique coincidence, certain changes have been made to the venue and program schedule to ensure smooth management and a better experience for visitors.
One of the major highlights of the fair will be the grand procession of deities, which the organizers are planning to make even more spectacular. Special attention is also being given to the arrangements for the visiting deities to ensure their traditional rituals and ceremonies are conducted with dignity and devotion.
In a new initiative, the committee has decided to actively involve young people in the organization and cultural activities of the fair. The move aims to connect the younger generation with the region’s deep-rooted Devata culture and encourage them to participate in preserving these traditions.
Speaking about the preparations, Dr. Abhishek Soni, President of the Suket Sarv Devta Committee, Sundernagar, said that several sub-committees have been formed to manage pandal arrangements, the procession, deity hospitality, troubleshooting, and other event programs. He added that the committee is working closely with the administration and local residents to ensure the fair is conducted smoothly.
Dr. Soni expressed confidence that the Suket Devta Fair 2026 will once again become a magnificent confluence of faith, culture, and tradition, bringing together devotees and visitors in a celebration that reflects the spiritual soul of the region.
