As the Himachal Pradesh Congress government completed three years, the state BJP launched a powerful social media campaign exposing the government’s failures. On Wednesday, during the state-level celebration organized by the Congress in Mandi, the BJP ran an extensive e-campaign aimed at proving the event unsuccessful. As part of this effort, the hashtag “ThreeYearsOfMisrule” remained a top trend on X (Twitter) across the country throughout the day.

The Himachal BJP social media team began uploading posters, reels, and video content from early morning, highlighting the failures of the Congress government. Gradually, the campaign gained massive traction, pushing the hashtag “ThreeYearsOfMisrule” to the top of the nationwide trending list.

According to available information, more than 35,000 tweets were posted criticizing the Congress government—raising key issues like failed guarantees, shutdown of institutions, debt rising over ₹40,000 crore, poor law and order, corruption allegations, unemployment, and inflation.

Senior BJP leaders also shared content from their accounts showcasing the failures of the Sukhu government, giving further momentum to the campaign. During the Congress government’s event in Mandi, the BJP highlighted public dissatisfaction and amplified it across social media.

It is notable that earlier on December 4, the BJP had held a protest in Dharamshala, which also went viral on social media. The party streamed the protest live and made the hashtag “ThreeYearsOfCollapse” trend nationwide.

BJP’s aggressive social media campaign has been successful in bringing the alleged failures of the Congress government to public attention.

Through social media, the BJP accused the Congress government of pushing the state into mismanagement and heavy debt over the past three years. They claimed the public was misled through false guarantees, institutions were shut down, and development slowed to a standstill. This aggressive online pressure even compelled Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to refer to the BJP’s social media team during his speech at the Mandi rally.
