Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has hit back at the BJP after the party criticised his reaction to schoolchildren greeting him with “Radhe Radhe.” Sukhu said the BJP is manufacturing controversy because it has no real issues to raise.

Speaking at a walkathon organised by the Himachal Police to combat drug abuse in Dharamshala, the Chief Minister—joined by several ministers and MLAs—chanted “Radhe Radhe” and “Ram Ram” along with the participants. He said those who politicise Sanatan Dharma should not lecture others on the subject, and referred to his own upbringing, including traditions such as Govardhan Puja and Kanya Pujan.
