A 72-year-old man from Bashri village in Shimla’s Rampur subdivision died after his car fell into a deep gorge near Barshi. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
A 72-year-old man died after his car plunged into a gorge in the Rampur subdivision of Shimla district.
The victim, identified as Bhagwan Dass, a resident of Bashri village in Rampur, lost control of his vehicle at a sharp bend near Barshi, causing it to fall into the valley. He died on the spot, police said.
A police team reached the site shortly after the accident and sent the body for post-mortem.
Officials confirmed that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
