🇺🇦 Anti-Corruption Officials Search Home of Zelensky’s Chief of Staff

Ukraine’s anti-corruption authorities said on Friday that they conducted a search connected to President Volodymyr Zelensky’s chief of staff and top peace negotiator, Andriy Yermak.

Yermak confirmed on Telegram that investigators were searching his home and said he was cooperating fully.

In a joint statement, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) said the search was “authorized” and part of an undisclosed investigation.

“NABU and SAPO are conducting investigative actions (a search) at the residence of the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine,” the agencies said.
“These investigative actions are authorized and are being carried out within the framework of an ongoing investigation.”

Earlier this month, the two agencies opened a major probe into an alleged $100 million bribery scheme within the state atomic energy company. The investigation has implicated former senior officials and a former business partner of Zelensky.

Yermak has not been named as a suspect. However, opposition lawmakers—and even some members of Zelensky’s own party—had recently called for his dismissal amid what is being described as one of Ukraine’s most serious wartime political crises.

The search is expected to heighten tensions between Zelensky and his political rivals at a time when Kyiv is facing growing international pressure—particularly from Washington—to consider a U.S.-backed peace proposal in its war with Russia.
