Cold Winds Sweep Himachal: Minimum Temperatures Dip by Up to 5°C, Dry Weather Likely Until December 1
Himachal Pradesh is experiencing a sharp drop in temperatures, with minimum levels falling by 2°C to 5°C across several regions. Dry weather is expected statewide until December 1, even as cold winds intensify.
Cold Winds Grip Himachal; Minimum Temperatures Drop by Up to 5°C
Cold winds are sweeping across Himachal Pradesh, bringing a noticeable dip in temperatures. Over the past 24 hours, minimum temperatures in many parts of the state have fallen by 2°C to 5°C, while maximum temperatures have dropped by 2°C to 3°C. According to the state meteorological department, minimum temperatures across Himachal ranged between –7°C and 11°C, and maximum temperatures remained between 10°C and 25°C.
Dry weather is expected to prevail across the state until December 1. Maximum temperatures are likely to rise slightly by 2°C to 3°C, while minimum temperatures are expected to remain near normal.
During the past 24 hours, the weather remained largely dry, with bright sunshine in most regions during the day. Late at night, dense fog was reported around parts of the Bhakra Dam reservoir area in Bilaspur.
In Shimla, the minimum temperature was recorded at 6.2°C, while Dharamshala logged 7.2°C. Popular tourist destination Manali saw a minimum of 1.1°C. Other minimum temperatures reported were: Kangra 6°C, Mandi 6.3°C, Solan 3.5°C, Hamirpur 5.6°C, Kufri 4.6°C, Paonta Sahib 11°C, Bhuntar 3°C, Sundernagar 3.5°C, Bilaspur 8.2°C, Reckong Peo 1.7°C, Narkanda 1.8°C, Nahan 7.6°C, and Kukumseri at –3.8°C.
With a maximum temperature of 25°C, Una remained the warmest place in the state. The coldest location was Tabo village in the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti, where the minimum temperature dropped to –7°C.
