The European Union will not oppose the proposed outcome of the COP30 climate negotiations in Brazil, two sources told Reuters.
One EU negotiator said the deal falls short in several areas. “It lacks ambition, it lacks balance, but we are not going to block it,” the negotiator said. “Because it will deliver much-needed adaptation funding for the poorest and most vulnerable.”
