Himachal: Parents Killed After Car Driven by Daughter Falls Into Gorge

A tragic road accident under the jurisdiction of Karsog Police Station claimed the lives of a couple on the spot, while their daughter sustained serious injuries.

The incident occurred when a car (HP27A-1214) driven by Sushila Devi, a resident of Chango in Kinnaur district, was traveling from Luhri to Karsog. Her parents, Kunjang Gyalchan and Lobjang Dolma, were accompanying her in the vehicle.

As the car reached Kotghadi (Kotlu), Sushila reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which plunged nearly 150 meters into a deep gorge.

Both Kunjang Gyalchan and Lobjang Dolma died on the spot, while Sushila Devi sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Rohru Hospital for treatment.

The police have taken possession of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem to Rohru. A case has been registered at Karsog Police Station, and further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
