29 Nepali Nationals Injured as Tempo Traveller Overturns on Shimla Highway

Around 29 Nepali nationals were injured when a Tempo Traveller overturned on National Highway 5 near Kumarsain in Shimla district early Sunday, officials said.

The passengers were traveling from Reckong Peo in Kinnaur toward the Nepal border when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle near Dogra Mandi around 1 a.m., leading to the accident.

Police teams, assisted by local residents, reached the spot and rescued the injured. The passengers were initially taken to a nearby hospital, and 16 of them were later referred to Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) in Shimla for advanced treatment.

Officials said a case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
