Construction Worker Dies After Fall from Under-Construction Flyover in Kangra
A construction worker died on Sunday morning after allegedly falling from an under-construction flyover in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district, police said.
The incident occurred in the Jasur Bazaar area of Nurpur, where the worker, identified as Munawar (35), a resident of Yamunanagar in Haryana, was reportedly working on a pillar when he lost his balance and fell from a height.
He was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Nurpur, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Eyewitnesses claimed they had noticed electrical wires near the site and suspected that Munawar might have suffered an electric shock before falling.
Police said the exact cause of death would be confirmed after the post-mortem examination.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of Nurpur said the victim’s family has been informed, and further investigation is underway.
