Himachal Governor and Chief Minister Extend Diwali Greetings
Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri have extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.
In his message, Governor Shukla wished everyone good health, prosperity, and happiness. He said the Festival of Lights symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. “On this day, lamps are lit not only to illuminate our homes but also to rekindle the eternal truth of life and moral values,” he said.
Chief Minister Sukhu said that Diwali not only brightens our homes but also fills our hearts and society with the spirit of righteousness and collective harmony. He urged people to celebrate the festival in the spirit of peace, unity, and mutual respect and to contribute towards building a progressive and prosperous Himachal Pradesh. He wished everyone happiness, prosperity, and harmony on this joyous occasion.
Deputy Chief Minister Agnihotri said that Diwali conveys the message of love, compassion, and brotherhood. He urged people to celebrate the festival with a spirit of togetherness so that light, joy, and hope reach every home and every life.
Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur also extended his greetings, saying that the festival inspires everyone to dispel the darkness within and light the lamps of harmony, service, and positivity.
