Sharp Social Media Post by Himachal Health Minister’s Son Puts Congress on the Spot

A social media post by Colonel (Retd.) Sanjay Shandil, son and political heir of Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil, has embarrassed the Congress leadership in Himachal Pradesh.
In his post, Sanjay hailed his father’s integrity, calling him the “pride of Himachal,” while demanding the suspension of corrupt and negligent officials in the Health Department. He alleged that some of these officials exploit even the differently abled and insisted they must be removed without delay.
Attempts to reach Dr. Shandil by phone for comment were unsuccessful.
The post, made late last evening, has yet to draw any response from senior Congress leaders, though it has created unease within party circles.
Sanjay, who retired from the Army a few months ago and has since been active in the region, has been publicly projected by his father as his political successor and is eyeing a ticket for the next Assembly elections.
While it remains unclear what prompted the timing of his blunt remarks, the move has undoubtedly unsettled Congress leaders as they await how the party’s top brass chooses to respond.
