Farmer’s Daughter from Abohar Secures 9th Rank in Himachal Pradesh Judicial Services Exam

Jannat Hayer, daughter of a farmer from Kala Tibba village near Abohar, has been selected as a judicial officer in Himachal Pradesh after securing the 9th rank in the state’s Judicial Services Examination. The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission recently announced the final results, with Kirti Bhushan topping the list.

The Commission has recommended the appointment of 19 new judges, including Jannat Heir. Other successful candidates include Vishal Thakur, Meenakshi, Mehak Gupta, Priyanka, Renu Bala, Amisha Gupta, Tanya, Sona, Priyanshi, Simranjit Kaur, Pranav Negi, Rashmi Dogra, Bindra Devi, Bhavya Saini, Urvashi, Shashi Bala, and Simran.

Expressing her gratitude, Jannat credited her success to her parents, Gursaminder Kaur and Dharaminder Singh Heir, who supported her throughout her journey. “I feel immense joy in fulfilling my mother’s dream,” she said, adding that her mother always envisioned her serving as a judicial officer.

Jannat completed her schooling at Vidya Devi Jindal School in Hisar, followed by graduation and an LL.B. degree from the Army Institute of Law, Mohali. She dedicated extensive time to preparing for competitive exams.

Her family celebrated her achievement with sweets and blessings. Before their appointments, all selected candidates will undergo document verification. Notably, two OBC posts remained vacant in this recruitment cycle.
