All Educational Institutions in Solan and Sirmaur to Remain Closed on Tuesday

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Tuesday, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan and Sirmaur districts.

Following the advisory, all government and private educational institutions in both districts will remain closed on September 2. The closure order also extends to anganwadi centers and vocational institutions, according to directives issued by the Deputy Commissioners of Solan and Sirmaur on Monday evening.

The weather office has cautioned about the risks of heavy downpours, landslides, and cloudbursts. Meanwhile, several key roads and link routes in the region remain blocked due to continuous rainfall since yesterday.

Teachers have been instructed to conduct online classes from home to ensure academic continuity during the shutdown.
