Himachal Deputy CM Agnihotri Announces ₹100-Crore Beautification Plan for Jwala Mata Temple

Agnihotri performed traditional rituals and sought blessings for the prosperity, good health, and peace of the people of the hill state. His daughter, Dr. Aastha Agnihotri, and his sister were also present during the visit. He also prayed for the state’s well-being and protection from natural calamities. The temple committee honored him with a memento on the occasion.
Addressing devotees, Agnihotri announced the launch of a comprehensive beautification project worth ₹100 crore for the temple. He emphasized that the state government is committed to preserving and promoting Himachal Pradesh’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
“Our aim is to provide better facilities for devotees, uphold the sanctity of traditional rituals, and integrate digital systems for improved temple management,” he said. He added that the initiative seeks to create a spiritual environment worthy of the millions of pilgrims who visit the shrine each year. Plans include infrastructure upgrades, enhanced amenities for devotees, and systematic development to promote religious tourism in the region.
After visiting the Jwala Mata Temple, the Deputy CM, accompanied by his family, also offered prayers at the Baglamukhi Temple and sought blessings there.
The Jwala Mata Temple, located in Kangra district, is one of the most prominent Shakti Peethas in India and draws devotees from across the country and abroad.
