Himachal Assembly Monsoon Session to Begin on August 18; 635 Starred and 127 Unstarred Questions Filed
Shimla, August 13 – The Monsoon Session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly is set to commence on August 18. Ahead of the session, Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania held a key meeting with senior police officials to review security arrangements and issued strict instructions to ensure safety.
So far, 635 starred and 127 unstarred questions have been submitted by members for the session. A meeting of all parties will be held at 12 noon on August 18, ahead of the first sitting, while a media interaction is scheduled for August 14.
Speaker Pathania said that this year the Assembly aims to complete 35 sittings in a single year—a record that could serve as an example for other legislatures. He urged all parties to extend their cooperation in the smooth conduct of proceedings.
