Three Bishop Cotton School Students Missing in Shimla, Police Launch Search Operation
Shimla, August 9: In a concerning incident, three students from Bishop Cotton School—one of Asia’s oldest and most prestigious boarding schools—have gone missing under mysterious circumstances. The school is renowned for attracting students from across India, many from prominent business and influential families.
According to reports, several students from the school had gone into Shimla city on Saturday for a weekend outing. While most returned to the hostel by evening, three students did not come back. Their absence was noticed soon after, prompting the school administration to immediately inform the police.
Upon receiving the alert, police teams from Sadar Police Station and other local units began an extensive search. A senior Shimla Police officer stated that efforts are underway to trace the missing students, including checking vehicles that may have transported them out of the city. Surveillance at city entry and exit points has been intensified, and CCTV footage from the area is being closely reviewed.
Police are in the process of registering a missing persons report and have reached out to the students’ families. The search operation for all three students is currently ongoing.
