Health Minister Col. Dhani Ram Shandil Visits Injured at AIIMS Bilaspur, Assures All Support

Mandi, July 24:
Health and Family Welfare Minister Col. Dhani Ram Shandil today visited AIIMS Bilaspur to meet the victims injured in the tragic HRTC bus accident that occurred in the Sarkaghat subdivision of Mandi district. The accident, in which a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus veered off the road and plunged into nearby fields, has so far claimed seven lives, leaving more than 20 passengers injured.

Initially, the injured were taken to Sarkaghat Hospital for primary treatment. However, several seriously injured passengers were later referred to AIIMS Bilaspur for advanced medical care.

At AIIMS, Minister Shandil inquired about the well-being of the patients and took a detailed briefing from the attending doctors regarding their treatment. He directed medical staff to ensure that all necessary care and timely treatment is provided to each injured person without delay.

Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, the minister extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. He affirmed that the state government is committed to ensuring the best possible treatment for the injured and that no effort will be spared in their recovery.

“The government stands firmly with every individual affected by this tragedy,” he said, assuring that additional resources will be made available if required to support the ongoing medical care and relief efforts.
