Gas Supply Vehicle Overturns in Dehra, Driver Died on the Spot; Two Employees Injured

Dehra, July 8:
A tragic accident occurred on the Dhaunta–Badalthaur road under the jurisdiction of Moin Police Station, where a gas supply vehicle (HP 68 3215) lost control and overturned. Upon receiving the alert, a police team from Moin Station promptly reached the site and initiated rescue operations.

The driver, Deep Chand, son of Guttu Ram, a resident of Jalandhar Lahad (Kariyada), died on the spot. Two other employees traveling in the vehicle sustained injuries. The injured have been identified as Devendra Thakur, son of Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Naihran Pukhar, and Kamal, son of Mauju Ram, a former BDC member from village Mareda, post office Khabli, district Kangra. All three were employees of the HP Gas Agency.

The injured were immediately shifted to a local hospital for preliminary treatment. Police have registered a case and initiated further legal proceedings.

The Dehra Police has issued a public advisory urging drivers to remain extra cautious, especially during the monsoon season, and drive carefully to avoid such mishaps.
